Team members get ready to lay the kevlar fabric on the freshly polished mold.
Jason and Brian wet the balsa wood core with epoxy before it's laid on the Kevlar.
The first few layers of kevlar are laid in the mold and team members trim the edges.
Smoothing out the wrinkle in the fabric to ensure good strength.
More smoothing of the fabric (this was a long process).
The "peel-ply" is laid down in the mold before the breather and plastic bagging to prevent sticking.
With the breather and plastic bagging in place and the vacuum lines in place, team members listen for air leaks and monitor the vacuum level.
